Kharagpur Winter of Code is a 5-week long online program for students who are new to open source software development. The program not only helps students to get involved in open source, but also prepares them for many open source summer programs; Google Summer of Code being one of them.
Open source is a source code that is made freely available for possible modification and redistribution. Being an open source enthusiast I love contributing to projects. Open source contribution is a very good way of brushing and developing your skills as this makes you experience with real world projects and communication with mentors.
During December month we got a list of projects to contribute in which we can make our contribution in as many projects we want. Though I participated in Kharagpur Winter of Code for the first time and it was a wounderful experience. I have contributed in projects named KnowledgeShare ,Attendance-Management-using-Face-Recognition, hashcode_web ,CGPA_ESTIMATOR.
Pull Request-In my first pull request I have added a tkinter based python project in KnowledgeShare. This project is based on adding and substracting two numbers made using python tkinter.
